on 20/2/46 I was present in Tong Ling Restaurant in Des

Voeux Rd. C. where 2nd deft. was arrested. Proceeded

with him to Central Police Station. Searched him and

found 1 Parker fountain pen and 1 automatic pencil.

Exh.B are the pen and pencil. Loosely in various pockets

I found 1 H.K. $50 note 1 note 50 Custom Gold Units

5 H.K. $10 notes 5 H.K. $5 notes 9 H.K. $1 notes and 7

H.K. 10-cent notes (Exh.H) besides other articles of a

personal nature. I also made a list of these articles

and handed it to Insp. Watson. I also found three pawn

tickets and 3 jewellery receipts which I included in list.

On 21/2/46 I accompanied the 1st and 2nd defts. to a second

hand stall at corner Stanley/D'Aguilar St. There I found

a number of fountain pens and propelling pen cils. 2nd deft.

picked out a Conklin fountain pen and an Eversharp propelling

pencil. On fountain pen I found an engraving "To Jackson

Chan from S.C. Ma". I identify the pen now in Court aș

the pen (Exh. F). I hand ed pen and pencil to Insp. Watson.

about 00.30 hrs. on 20/2/46 I was in Tong Ling Restaurant

in Des Voeux Rd. C. along with 1st deft. 2nd deft. entered

premises and I immediately put 2nd deft. under arrest. I

cauti on ed 2nd deft. and brought him back to Central Police

Station.
